How to Connect Hyperliquid

NOTE: USE YOUR EMAIL WHEN SIGNING UP TO HYPERLIQUID

A. Account Creation & Initial Setup on Hyperliquid:

• Visit the Hyperliquid sign-up page: https://app.hyperliquid.xyz

• Crucial for TR8DE.AI Integration: Sign up using your EMAIL ADDRESS. Do NOT use the "Connect Wallet" option with a Web3 wallet for your primary login if you intend to use TR8DE.AI's automated bots. Using email allows TR8DE.AI to manage trades without requiring manual transaction signing from your end, ensuring you benefit from our proprietary logic.

• You must fund your Hyperliquid account with a minium of 5 USDC to be able to generate your API Wallet Private Key

• Verify your Hyperliquid account as per Hyperliquid's instructions via email verification OTP:

• Once logged in, click the 'Deposit' button in the top right hand corner:

Your Deposit Address is Also Your 'USER ADDRESS' When Connecting to TR8DE.AI

• Copy your main Hyperliquid DEPOSIT ADDRESS then head back to TR8DE.AI and paste it into the User Address field:

PASTE the DEPOSIT ADDRESS in the USER ADDRESS field in TR8DE.AI

B. Private Key Generation on Hyperliquid:

• In the top navigation bar on Hyperliquid, click on 'More'.

• From the dropdown menu, select 'API':

• Assign a name to your API wallet (e.g., "TR8DEAI"):

• Click the 'Generate' button:

NOTE: The Wallet Address Generated In This Step Is Not Used

• Once the API Wallet Address has been generated, click 'Authorize API Wallet:

• In the pop-up box, set the 'Days Valid' for your API key:

• Choose your preferred duration.

  • Recommendation for TR8DE.AI: Set this to 180 days (MAX) to ensure uninterrupted service from TR8DE.AI bots.

• Important Reminder: You are responsible for renewing your API key before it expires. Set a personal reminder, as TR8DE.AI cannot do this for you.

• Copy the Private Key shown for the API wallet then head back to TR8DE.AI and paste the private key into the private key field:

• Paste the PRIVATE KEY in the required PRIVATE KEY FIELD in TR8DE.AI:

• Click on Authorize:

• Confirm that the newly generated API wallet is in your API Dashboard:

• Now that you have submitted bot the USER ADDRESS and PRIVATE KEY in TR8DE.AI, click the CONNECT button and wait for it to successfully connect:

• Once we have confirmed that both credentials are correct, you will be presented with your newly connected Hyperliquid Exchange Connection in the Exchange Dashboard:

• Success! You have now connected your Hyperliquid exchange to TR8DE.AI!

  • Understanding API Wallets (Agent Wallets) on Hyperliquid:

    • API wallets can perform trading actions on your behalf without having withdrawal permissions, enhancing security.

    • Your main account's public address (your deposit address) is still used for informational requests (e.g., balance overview, open orders and positions).

    • The Private Key of the API wallet is essential for TR8DE.AI, as it's used to automatically sign trading transactions for TR8DE.AI bots. Without it, automated trading will not function.

    • Keep your Private Key secure and treat it like a password.

C. Funding Your Hyperliquid Account:

1. Ensure your Hyperliquid PERP account is funded with the minimum recommended trading amount. For TR8DE.AI, we suggest at least $250 USD Coin (USDC).

2. FUNDS SHOULD BE IN THE PERP (PERPETUALS) TRADING ACCOUNT, NOT SPOT TRADING ACCOUNT!

3. Deposit Information (as of current Hyperliquid support):

   • Hyperliquid currently accepts USDC deposits exclusively via the Arbitrum One chain.

   • Depending on the wallet you are sending from, you may need a small amount of ARBETH on the Arbitrum One network to cover gas fees for the USDC transfer. More information can be found here https://docs.arbitrum.io/learn-more/faq

   • CRITICAL: When depositing USDC via the ARBITRUM One Network to Hyperliquid, ensure you are sending it to your MAIN Hyperliquid DEPOSIT wallet address (the same user address you copied in Step A),

   • DO NOT DEPOSIT FUNDS TO YOUR API AGENT WALLET ADDRESS!

   • Funds sent to the API agent wallet address are not recoverable or usable for trading.

IMPORTANT: Never share your Private Key with anyone. TR8DE.AI staff will never ask for your Private Key.
